We offer support and connection for refugees, immigrants and asylum seekers.

The word Baraka means “blessing” in a variety of languages. Baraka is a program of Salem Alliance Church that exists to BLESS our global neighbors by providing support & connection for refugees, immigrants and asylum seekers.

Women's English Classes

Baraka offers English classes for women. These classes provide a warm, relational environment for women to learn English and build community. Childcare is provided for kids from birth through age five. Transportation may be available upon request.

When: Classes are every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 am–12:00 pm. Classes will follow the Salem/Keizer Public School's calendar.

Where: Salem Alliance Church (555 Gaines St. NE, Salem, OR 97301).

Cost: $25 curriculum fee. A payment plan can be arranged for those who need it.
