The governing board and elders at Salem Alliance Church are a team of servant-hearted leaders who provide spiritual guidance, wisdom, and shared oversight for the life and mission of our church. They lead with humility, seek God’s direction together, and are committed to caring well for our church family and the community we are called to serve.

Alex Fedorenko
Alex is the owner of InLight Electric company and has attended Salem Alliance for 20 years. He has served as an elder, on the Mission Council Board, as a greeter, usher, bible study leader, and has participated in multiple mission trips. He and his wife, Mila, have been married for 25 years and have three daughters, Alaina, 23, Laila, 19, and Maia, 11.
NewGreg Goodenough
Greg is the Owner and Principal Broker of Good Moves Oregon and has attended Salem Alliance for 24 years. He has served in a variety of roles, including after-service prayer, healing prayer, Men’s Ministries, Soul Care, Intentional Fatherhood, Peacemakers, marriage preparation, mentoring, and as an Elder and Governing Board member. He lives in West Salem with his wife, Lora, whom he has been married to for 20 years, and their 13-year-old son, Samson. Their family also includes two indoor cats, a brother and sister pair they welcomed in 2020.
NewAnnette Harrison
Annette is a Professor of Intercultural Studies at Corban University and has attended Salem Alliance for 14 years. She has served in a variety of ways, including with the choir, worship team, Uncommon Broads, Broadway Life Center ELL Ministries, and Baraka Ministries. She and her husband, Byron, also regularly pray for Salem Alliance missionaries, support the missions fund, participate in Missio College fundraisers, and support Salem for Refugees. They have been married for 41 years and, while they do not have children of their own, are aunt and uncle to more than 20 nieces and nephews.
NewKaren Martin
Karen is a retired nurse and part of the ownership group at G&C Farms, Inc. She has attended Salem Alliance for 28 years and has served as a Hearts at Home small group leader and Mercy Team member. She and her husband, Brian, have been married for 44 years and have four adult sons, four daughters-in-law, and eleven grandchildren, ranging in age from 1 to 14.
NewCarl Nelson
Carl is a retired educator who served as a school counselor with Salem-Keizer Public Schools for 34 years. He has attended Salem Alliance for 59 years and accepted Christ at age 8. Over the years, he has served as an elder and in Christian Education ministry with students from kindergarten through 12th grade. He and his wife, Sue, have also led shepherding groups, shared leadership in Bible studies and Life Groups, taught a Freshman Seminar at Missio College for three years, and mentored young men in the program. They met in the Salem Alliance youth group and have been married for 47 years. They have three grown children, Tyler, Megan, and Molly, and seven grandchildren.

Linda Samek
ReturningLinda is a Professor of Education at George Fox University and has attended Salem Alliance for 30 years. She has served the church by leading a professional women’s Bible study and serving in several roles at Missio, including dean, faculty member, and Academic Council member. As a governing board member, she enjoys meeting and greeting people at various events. She and her husband, Tom, have been married for more than 50 years and have two sons and six grandchildren. They live on a farm near Sublimity, where they enjoy the outdoors, attending their grandchildren’s sporting events, and having most of their family nearby.
Holly Sears
Holly is an attorney at Larimer & Sears, LLC and has attended Salem Alliance for 23 years. She has served in a variety of ways, including baking bread for newcomers, serving with OMNI, participating in Synergy Leadership, and providing meals for the Worship Team on Saturdays. She and her husband, Sam, have been married for 21 years and have two daughters, Claire, 16, and Myla, 13.

Tushah Chiwona
Tushah is a student at Chemeketa Community College and has attended Salem Alliance for one year, since May 2025. He serves with the Baraka Prayer Gathering and All Nations Soccer, helping support these ministries and build community through prayer, fellowship, and sports. He is married to Nyengo, and they have two children, Brooklyn and Caleb. Their family is grateful to be part of the Salem Alliance community and has enjoyed becoming increasingly involved in the church.
NewSteve Conway
Steve is a retired Alliance pastor who served for 48 years across Oregon, Washington, and Ontario, Canada. He has attended Salem Alliance Church for a combined 10 years and has served as a Life Group Leader, Life Group Coach, Feed Salem volunteer, OMNI volunteer, and Elder. He and his wife have two grown children and four grandchildren.

Aaron Harada
NEWAaron is the director of community relations and communications at Salem-Keizer Public schools and has attended Salem Alliance for five years. He has served as a feed salem delivery driver and as a volunteer with Night to Shine. He and his wife, Gabriela, have been married for 19 years and have four children, Mateo, Alex, Ruby, and Tegan.
Steve John
Steve is a registered nurse at Salem Health and has attended Salem Alliance for about five years. He has served by ushering, serving with the Cross Team, and as part of the leadership team for his Synergy Life Group. He and his wife, Amy, have been married for almost five years. They live in Northeast Salem and, while they do not have children, stay busy with their parents, many nieces and nephews, and extended family. Their family also includes two dogs.
NewTyler Krehbiel
Tyler is a Domestic Engineer and has attended Salem Alliance for 38 years. He has served as a Life Group leader, Handyman Team member, Hospitality Team member, and Huddle Group leader. He and his wife, Mary, have been married for 15 years and have two daughters, Nora, 10, and Kara, 6. They live in South Salem and enjoy being involved in their neighborhood, traveling, remodeling, and spending time with friends and family.

Jason is a farmer at G&C Farms and has attended Salem Alliance for 10 years. He and his wife, Megan, have led a Life Group for the past four years, and he currently serves on the prophecy team. He and Megan have been married for almost 11 years and have four children: Roy, 8, Nora, 6, Rusty, 4, and Maya, 1.
NewRich Martin
Rich is the Dean of Students at Western Christian Schools and has attended Salem Alliance for 35 years. He has served as a Life Group leader, Soul Care leader, Feed Salem volunteer, bus driver for refugees, and in youth ministry.
ReturningGerardo Moran
Gerardo is the owner of Optima Nutrition and has attended Salem Alliance for 15 years. He has served as an elder and been a leader facilitator at Soul Care, as well as sitting on the board of directors at Salem Free Clinics. He and his Wife have been married for 35 years and have two children, Gerardo and Tania. They have one grandson and another grandchild on the way.

NewPatrick Oran
Patrick is a Partner and Broker at Hancock Real Estate and has attended Salem Alliance for nine years. He has served in a variety of ways, including Healing Prayer, Salem Recovery Gym, Men’s Ministry, OMNI, C2, and Young Adults. He and his wife, Kelsey, work together in their family business while raising their elementary-aged children, Abe and Mae. They are in a sweet season of enjoying time together as a family and make the most of it whenever they can. Neskowin has also become a favorite home away from home for their family.

Jeff is the owner of G&C Farms and has attended Salem Alliance for 52 years! He has served as an elder and has volunteered with the Healing Prayer team and Soul Care. His wife, Jennifer, does speaking and spiritual direction. Together, they have 3 grown children: Josiah is an accountant, Titus works with YWAM, and Abigail attends Missio College.
ReturningTony Ryan
Tony is a retired professional land surveyor and has attended Salem Alliance for 19 years. He has served for six years on the Elder Council and has volunteered with OMNI, led a Branches Life Group and a Barnabas Group, volunteered with RORS, and hosted a Young Adults Life Group in his home. He and his wife have been married for 31 years and have five children, with their two oldest now married. They do not have grandchildren yet.
ReturningKen Stott
Ken is retired after a career as a public school teacher, coach, and administrator and has attended Salem Alliance for 36 years. He has served as an elder and has been involved in Bible studies and Life Groups as both a participant and leader. He has also served with Feed Salem as an Inventory Coordinator. He and his wife, Lauri, have been married for 44 years and have six children, three biological and three adopted, as well as 15 grandchildren.

Jim is retired after working for 38 years at Supra Products in Salem and has attended Salem Alliance for eight years. He has served with the Furniture Bank and enjoys being involved in the life of the church. He and his wife, Julie, have been married for 44 years and have three children, all of whom attend Salem Alliance, as well as six grandchildren. Their daughter, Emily, lives with them.
