Refreshment and Relief Event (Middle & High School)
Due to unsafe air quality, we have canceled this weekend’s (September 13th) Crash and Flipside Rally. Keep updated on the status and registration of our September 20th and 27th rallies at iheartcrash.com and flipsideyouth.com.
In replacement of the outdoor rally, we will instead meet indoors at the Youth Center for a new event. The goal of this new direction is to 1) offer our students spiritual and emotional refreshment in a chaotic time, and 2) provide relief to our hurting community. Students will pray for Oregon wildfires, build care packages for evacuated families, reflect on the current state of their own souls and worship. We are offering different meeting times that will be selected within the registration form. Each time offered will include identical elements. This will help us keep this event under maximum occupancy numbers outlined in COVID-19 restrictions for indoor venues. The 3:00pm-3:45pm time above reflects the first meeting time offered. Registration is required to attend.
COVID-19 GUIDELINES AND PARTICIPANT SCREENING:
All Salem Alliance events abide by the current state guidelines for indoor and outdoor public spaces, including participant screening at arrival, social distancing, and wearing masks at all times. At this event, a leader will ask the following questions before entering the Youth Center: 1. Do you currently have any COVID-19 symptoms? 2. In the last 14 days, have you been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or who has COVID-like symptoms? (If the answer is yes to either one of those questions, you will not be admitted) 3. Can we trust you to keep your mask on and maintain social distance for the entirety of the event? (Students who are unwilling to wear a mask or social distance will not be admitted.)
