Paul & the Law

  • Date

This seminar explores Paul’s understanding of the Law (Torah) within the story of Israel and the Exodus, and how that understanding is reshaped through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Drawing on the work of New Testament scholar Nijay Gupta, we will address common misunderstandings about “law versus grace” and discover how Paul reads the Law not as something discarded, but as something fulfilled, transformed, and reframed around Christ.

As a complement to our Echoes of Exodus in Paul’s Letters sermon series, this session will help participants read Paul more carefully, appreciate the Law’s role in God’s redemptive purposes, and discern what faithful obedience looks like for Christians today.”
