Chute Prayer Update - June 2008
We are thankful for God’s enabling for us (Joel & Debbie) as we traveled back to attend Nathan’s graduation from Whitworth Univeristy (May 18th). Continue to pray for Nathan’s post-graduation job search, that the Lord would open and close doors to make His plans clear to him, and direct him to the right job.
We are looking forward to another memorable event - Janelle’s graduation from International Christian School (Hong Kong) on June 7th. Pray that she would have a good transition to the USA this summer, as she not only faces the challenge of reverse culture shock but also learning to live more independently. She will be depart for the USA in August, and after attending a MK Reentry Seminar will attend Azusa Pacific University (Los Angeles, CA) this fall.
As we head into the summer months, pray for wisdom in arranging our schedules so that we would be able to have time together as a family before Ryan and Janelle return to the USA for university in August.
Pray for Joel’s safety as he travels in Guangxi June 8-15th. He will be meeting with church leaders discussing strategic projects, and will need wisdom in discerning how to help these churches advance the Gospel in their communities. Pray that God would direct him in all of his conversations, and in discerning how to best help these churches impact their community with the Gospel.
Leaders at the Guangxi Provincial Training Center (south central China) have informed us that they are nearing the final stages of preparation before beginning construction of their Provincial Bible School, but will need to raise $75,000 USD to pay for their land. Pray that God would meet this need, and use this new training facility to provide more men and women to strengthen the ministry of local churches and advance the Gospel in Guangxi.
Pray for the 40 students that will graduate from the year long training program at the Guangxi Provincial Bible School this June. Many will return to their home churches to assist in the various ministries of their church. Pray that they would experience God’s enabling for all that they will face. Pray that God would use these new workers to mobilize local believers in reaching their community with the good news of Jesus.
We really appreciate all of you who have prayed for our family and ministry these past months – thank you for standing together with us in prayer.
Serving together,
Joel & Debbie Chute
